The subject line might mislead you but I confess I'm no Robert M. Pirsig nor am I a professional bicycle mechanic. I have however been doing my own bike repairs and maintenance since I've been off my training wheels twenty some year by now. I've also read both of RMP's books several times and have found them to be essential reading and highly recommend them, especially his follow-up novel, Lila.
This month is an ideal time to get those bikes in order. It also happens that the subject matter ties right in with energy and sustainability. Please join us for a demonstration and discussion amongst like-minded people in your community.
I will take a stab at doing a demo on general bike maintenance that should help you get your bike up and rolling for the season. To demonstrate this I will bring in my bike(s) and perform some of the following tasks (because I need to do this anyways). Some of the topics I will attempt to cover in our time will be
