As part of the Centre for European Study’s Environmental Days, Inger Weibust will present a lecture exploring where European Union environmental policy is headed and she will also offer a comparison to policy trends in Canada.
Professor Weibust joined NPSIA in 2001, after teaching Public Administration at Iowa State University. Her research focuses on environmental policy and regulation, globalization and governance, particularly in federal systems. She has written on dioxin regulation in a comparative context and Canada’s record in environmental policy. Her book Green Leviathan: The Case for a Federal Role in Environmental Policy (Ashgate) came out in 2009. She is currently at work on an edited volume focused on multilevel governance and the management of water resources and climate change
