OCCN monthly meeting

OCCN will meet on the first Monday of the month at the Daily Grind, 601 Somerset, from 7-9pm.

This is our first meeting in a long while, so it’s an opportunity to re-connect, share updates and position ourselves for the future.

Ottawa Community Currency Network aims to design, implement and support a local currency system to enable businesses, individuals and other organizations to trade goods and services without the use of cash.  Goals include poverty reduction, building self-reliance and local economic resilience.  Born from Transition Ottawa, OCCN follows many of the Transition Town ideas about peak resources, economic instability and environmental stress and wishes to address these issues at the community level by meeting unmet needs with untapped local capacity.
