Permaculture Ottawa New Members Meeting and Social

Hey everyone

Exciting times here lately in the local permaculture community. A hugely successful film fest night earlier this month, a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) by the Permaculture Institute of Eastern Ontario (PIEO) just wrapped up here in Ottawa, a mapping workshop coming up in November and lots of cool posts and connections being made on the our Facebook group page.

We will be holding a New Members Meeting and social on Monday November 5th at the Ottawa Montgomery Legion, 330 Kent St. from 7-9:30pm (doors at 6:30). The agenda for the evening will be a briefing of what Permaculture Ottawa is, what we've been up to, where we would like to go, and how you can get involved. This will be followed by presentations from the PIEO 2012 PDC course design teams and a period for questions and answers about the PDC projects and the local permaculture community. We also want to leave plenty of time to simply socialize, get to know each other and/or catch up with friends. Building community in realtime.

We aren't forgetting that we still have a lot going on and plenty of work to do and decisions to make to keep the momentum going for our thriving community so stay tuned for details about a regular general meeting in the next few weeks.
