Spend the morning with CPAWS-OV at “Speak for the Trees”! Join us for our 42nd AGM to learn about local CPAWS-OV conservation initiatives, our 2010 successes, and our vision for the future. CPAWS members will be able to participate in Board elections for the coming term. In support of the United Nations’ International Year of the Forest, enjoy a presentation by local botanist, medical biochemist and author Diana Beresford-Kroeger, who will speak about her new book, The Global Forest, and the importance of forest conservation. Hosted in Auditorium 203 (Guigues Hall) at Saint Paul University on Saturday, May 7th 2011. Doors open at 9:30am, event starts at 10:00am, Beresford-Kroeger presentation will start at 10:30am. Arrive early to check out opening day of the Main Street Market or to take a walk along the Ottawa River. Complementary refreshments provided by CPAWS-OV, please bring a travel mug for coffee and tea! This event is free and open to CPAWS members and the general public.
