Ron, one approach that might be considered is an online petition. I don't have much experience with these (apart from signing a few) so I don't know how effective they are. But intuitively, I think they would probably have more effect at the local level than, say, the national or international levels. Perhaps some of our members who have some experience here can chime in. A petition management site that I'm aware of is: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/
