What attracted you to become a member?
I have been in the permaculture and inner transitions movement as a teacher of Nonviolent Communication, Focusing, Restorative Circles, and Joanna Macy's work full time for 10 years. Background in eco pyshcology, herbalism, shamanistic healing, and gardening with permaculture
If you are from the Ottawa area, in what neighbourhood area do you live (i.e. Nepean, Centre Town, Glebe, Vanier, etc.)
I live in the Wakefield area part time and Eastern townships part time
Would you like to be part of a transition initiative in your neighbourhood?
No but keep me posted!
What issues are you interested in (Check as many as apply)?
Local food resilience, Community building, Reskilling, Joyous simple living
What are your skills (Professional and amateur)?
I am a professional facilitator and certified trainer of Nonviolent communicaiton, of Inner Relationship Focusing, and mediator working to build community through Restorative CIrcles, and community building work. I have trained with Scott Peck and am a certified community building facilitator, www.embodyingempathy.com
How would you like to see Ottawa look and feel in the future?
I would love half of the city to be for bikes only! Bixi bikes like that are in Montreal every where, and more shared car services.
What part would you like to contribute to this?
I am willing to offer inner transition work to serious members of this group
If you could create your ideal participation with Transition Ottawa, what would it be?
It would be to participate in sharing Nonviolence, Empathy and Restorative Circles (instead of mediation) to individuals and groups so that we can work, live and play effectively together.
