I am one of the founding steering committee members of Transition Ottawa. In 2009, my organization, the Canadian Biodiversity Institute, was working on a project called Redesigning Ottawa: Transitioning to a Resilient Future. For many reasons, it made sense to meld this with the transition movement and help create a new transition initiative in Ottawa/Eastern Ontario which could carry these ideas for action forward.
If you are from the Ottawa area, in what neighbourhood area do you live (i.e. Nepean, Centre Town, Glebe, Vanier, etc.)
Would you like to be part of a transition initiative in your neighbourhood?
What issues are you interested in (Check as many as apply)?

Hullo Heather! I have just joined so as to reach the steering committee and put this question to you. I am doing an MA in Environmental Education and Communication online and I live "up the valley". For my thesis research I wondered if it would be beneficial to interview folks within Transition Town Ottawa to see what vocations are in need of "greening" or what skills are most needed and then taking the findings to Algonquin College. If there's someone else that I should contact then please let me know. I am only writing to you for starters. Best wishes. Natalie
