Sorry you had that experience--it's unnerving. No great problem for me as I was meeting with KEN afterwards. Yes, I would like to meet with you. I'm thinking for this kind of communication it might be better to do it directly rather than through the website. You can contact me at shacklk@algonquincollege.com.
How about next Wednesday, maybe 3:30 PM--could we meet at Timothy's by the College? If that doesn't work, are you sometimes downtown?
Are you involved with KEN? I'm meeting with them at 6:30 on Wed. Nov. 25 and making a brief presentation to the group about Transition Ottawa at their meeting, starting at 7. That's at Beaverbrook Community Centre. Whether or not you are involved, possibly we could meet before that (maybe 5 or 5:30?) and save some transportation for us both? I live in Old Ottawa East, between the Canal and Main St. I expect to come from Woodroffe to Kanata that day via OCTranspo.
Otherwise we can work on connecting on a Monday or Friday. Those are also flexible days for me.
Thanks for responding. I'm not sure exactly what I told you in my first comment. I'm teaching the "Green Movement" course at Algonquin this term, and next term it will be "CSR and Business Ethics". Sandy and Adrienne are no longer involved. I want to maintain & uphold the values and dreams they had for this program. I would like to hear your thoughts on the program. I am also interested in your current activities, for my general education + the Transition effort, but also keeping in mind whether there are any opportunities for student involvement, mentoring, or other ways you might connect to the GBM program. No pressure, just exploring possibilities.
How does that sound to you? Would you be interested & able to find time to chat in person? If so, maybe you would like to propose a place & times. I am available during the day, some days.
